The Studio

We grew up inside the noise.
So we built the alternative.

Our generation learned about money from trading apps, algorithm-driven takes, and influencers selling their second course. We saw what it did to people's attention — and to their savings.

We both come from finance and management. We've watched the industry evolve and somehow get worse at its actual job: helping regular people make sense of their money. The good thinking is there, but it's buried under hot takes. The serious tools are there, but they're either institutional or gamified into oblivion. There's almost nothing in between.

Wellthpath is the in-between we wanted and couldn't find. Tools that feel considered, not gimmicky. Writing that treats you like the intelligent person you are. One clear voice in a category that's forgotten how to be quiet.

The cost of waiting.

Everyone knows you should start investing earlier. Nobody's done the math on what procrastination actually costs. Drag the sliders. See your number.

How we work
Independent.

No investors, no affiliate deals, no sponsored reviews. If we recommend something, we built it or we use it.

Sourced.

Every number traces back to the IRS, the BLS, the Federal Reserve, or a linked academic source. No vibes.

Updated.

Tax rules change. Tools get sharper. Every new version ships free to anyone who's ever bought.

Not advice.

We're educators, not licensed advisors. For your specific situation, talk to a fiduciary or CPA.

Maya booked a trip to Japan three years early.

She's 27. A marketer. Take-home of $4,800 a month. On January 1st she'd never budgeted in her life.

Twelve months later, her savings rate had grown from 36% to 45%, her emergency fund was fully funded, and she'd put enough aside for a trip she'd planned to take in 2029. The tool didn't make her richer. Awareness did.

Jordan stopped dreading April.

Freelance designer. Three years self-employed. Three years of panicking in April because he'd never set aside tax money.

He started using Tax Vault in Q1. Every invoice logged, set-aside calculated automatically. By year-end he'd saved exactly what he owed — with a small refund left over. No panic. No scrambling. No regret.

The Honest Answers

Questions you'd be right to ask.

A Norwegian studio, writing for Americans — why?

The US is the hardest personal finance market in the world. Federal plus state plus city taxes. FICO scores that can block a rental. Healthcare tied to employment. Student debt systems nobody fully explains. If a financial tool works for an American, it works anywhere. Every number, bracket, and reference in our tools is US-specific.

Is this financial advice?

No. We're not licensed financial advisors, CPAs, or tax preparers. Our tools are educational — built to help you understand and organize your own money. For specific decisions about your investments, taxes, or financial situation, talk to a fiduciary advisor or CPA in your state.

Why spreadsheets in 2026? Isn't there an app for this?

There are hundreds. Most are subscription-based. Most sell your data. Most stop working the moment you stop paying. A spreadsheet is yours forever. It doesn't need an internet connection, it can't pivot to crypto or NFTs or whatever the app-of-the-month is, and nobody can push an update that breaks it. It just works — quietly, reliably, in the background of your life.

Do I need to be good at spreadsheets?

Not at all. Every blue cell is a place for you to type. Everything else calculates itself. If you can fill in a birthday form online, you can use these.

What if I don't like it?

Email us within 14 days and we refund you. No questions, no guilt. We'd rather have honest refund requests than unhappy silent users.
